Why READ everyday
Poppy and other children her age will react emotionally to stories, either told or read. This is why stories can help children to name and cope with the feelings and problems they experience. Poppy will begin to understand emotions and relate to the characters in the story and how they feel.

The best way to promote Poppy's literacy is to help her to enjoy books without an emphasis on her learning the words yet.
